Where You and Your Dog Become A Winning Team

Have you ever signed up for a six-week training class and missed 1 or 2 classes due to illness or travel?  Have you ever been rushed along in a class when you or your dog didn’t fully grasp the exercise taught?
                                                                      

If so, SPEEDY PAWS, LLC has the answer for you!  We are the first in the Upstate to offer a FLEXIBLE TRAINING class.  If you miss a week, no problem, as each level class works on essentially the same exercises each week with varying degrees of difficulty. You and your dog will be able to demonstrate each exercise before you graduate to the next level. 

You will not pay for the usual 6 weeks of classes; instead you will purchase either 2 months or 3 months worth of training. You may attend as many weeks as you wish during that period. No more being tied down once a week and no more missing classes as an excuse not to train your dog or puppy.

2 Months of Training -  $100                   3 Months - $135

We hope this new system will better accommodate your busy schedule and help you and your dog get the most out of your training at SPEEDY PAWS, LLC.  All the Flex Time System classes are taught by Sue Conklin The Puppy Nanny, LLC.

If you miss a class, have a week where you didn’t have time to practice, or even if you spent the week at the beach; you will not miss anything new. You can just pick up where you left off. 

For those over achievers; have you ever signed up for a Basic class and realized that you and your dog are progressing faster than the others in the class.  This system will allow you to move more quickly through the levels and keep your dog progressing with his obedience skills.  This Flex Time System is a new way to take classes that we are excited to introduce to you!  The classes have 3 levels of training proficiency; you and your dog progress through each level at your own pace and on your own schedule.

 CLASS LEVELS INFORMATION

To enroll in Level 1 you may request a class application from Sue.

Fill it out and mail it with a $20 deposit to Speedy Paws.

You will attend an Orientation class without your dog.

Orientation classes are held on the third Tuesday of each month

(except Dec.) at 7:30PM.

Please contact Sue about Open Enrollment for Puppies 8-16 weeks of age.

For a limited time Puppy classes will offer an OPEN ENROLLMENT. You will observe a class without your dog and stay for a 1/2 hr. mini-orientation. You and your puppy will join the class the following week. Get started sooner with Open Enrollment!

Once you sign up you will receive a Training Manual with information on teaching and working on exercises for Puppy Headstart or Level 1. You will receive Manuals for Level 2 and 3 as you graduate to those levels.

Puppy Classes – There are currently three puppy classes available at Speedy paws. Monday night and Wednesday morning classes are for puppies 10-20 weeks of age. The Thursday night class is for Adolescent puppies ages 5 – 8 months old.  Upon graduation your puppy will be ready to advance into the regular Level 1 class.  The Puppy program will work on exercises similar to the Level 1 exercises mentioned below and also on socialization with other puppies and people. We will discuss "puppy issues" such as house training, chewing, etc. After attending 6 classes puppies may take a new STAR Puppy version of the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.

Level 1 and Puppy – Skills taught: Attention, Respond to Name, Sit and Down w/ short stay, Sit politely to greet people, Leave it, Hand target, Relax on a mat

Level 2 – Skills taught: Leash Walking, Sit and Down Stay with distractions, Come, Leave It, Stand Stay, Go To Place, 

Level 3 – Skills taught: Heeling off leash, longer sit, down stays at a distance, Go to Place, Come and Leave It with more distractions Sit politely for petting.

2 Months of training -  $100                   3 Months - $135
